This June, Senegal will distribute ~2 million bed nets, covering all children between 6 months and 5 years of age in the country. Senegal’s National Malaria Control Program (PNLP is the French acronym) has asked Malaria No More and Youssou NDour to support the campaign through media, education, and events that will capture the country’s attention and imagination.
The first element: an original anthem by Youssou about malaria . The song will be recorded in multiple languages (Wolof, Pular, French) and multiple styles (m’balax, traditional, and hip hop) to appeal as widely as possible.
